    DOUGLAS – The Cochise County Sheriff’s Department has identified between 30 and 50 ‘persons of interest’ in the investigation surrounding the 2010 murder of a prominent Southern Arizona rancher.
    Robert Krentz was found on his Douglas property with the killer’s footprints leading right to the U.S.-Mexico border. Krentz’s murder helped spur Arizona’s controversial SB 1070 immigration law.
    The case has remained unsolved, a sobering reality for family, friends and the community.
    Don Kimble is one of Krentz’s childhood friends and thinks about him every day – but he has his doubts if justice will ever be served.

    Sheriff Mark Dannels told News 4 Tucson that the murder of Robert Krentz is not a cold case.
    “It’s very emotional,” Dannels said. “Rob Krentz was a very well-respected rancher in our community. There’s a lot of unrest in the case not being solved.”
