June 13, 2013: Nat'l Cattlemen and Beef Association policy on "Immigration Reform"

From :  National Cattlemen and Beef Assocation policy on immigration:

NCBA has strong policy in favor of securing the border and finding a workable year-round guest worker program (see points below).

Border Security and Immigration are Important to Cattlemen
¨ Border security is paramount to the health and welfare of the livestock industry, and NCBA supports all legislation and authority for law enforcement to secure international borders.
¨ NCBA supports adding sufficient personnel to secure the border, providing the personnel with all the modern technology and resources necessary to enforce security at the international boundary, and enhancing civil and governmental communications to provide full coverage throughout the border region.
¨ Cattlemen and women support meaningful legislative or regulatory reform that strengthens border security, creates a non-seasonal, temporary worker program that ensures an adequate workforce and provides opportunities for current employees found to be in the U.S. illegally to apply for legal status.
