A story appeared in Highlands Today, (Sebring local paper) with headline: METH CHARGE FOR LOCAL MAN and "FEDERAL OFFICIALS SAY HE HELPED TRAFFIC DRUG FOR MEXICAN CARTEL
I am following-up with the reporter on this story that is also connected with the Hardee County Sheriff's Office who tipped off a federal drug task force. Hardee County is about 45 min. west of Sebring (in Highlands County). The man, according to the article by Meisel is "Jose Duarte aka Margarito Garcia-Camacho of Lake Placid and Ivan Cabrerra-Pineda and Brittan Farabee of Charlotte County who were arrested with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine, "according to an affidavit released ed by the U.S. Attorney'es Office in Tamps.
The man, Jose Camacho "is an illegal immigrant who returned to Highlands County after being deported in 2010. but paid $2,000 to be smuggled back into the U.S." according to the article by Meisel.
Details are not yet known who he paid the $2,000 to, to be smuggled back into the U.S.
