"They Come to America II' documentary film about Mexican border (Comments by Ed Ashurst, border rancher, Apache, Arizona) May 27, 2013

Dennis Michael Lynches Film, "They come to America II," is the best documentary to date about the situation on the Mexican border. The movie gets to the core issues over the Mexican debate. Especially the D. C. culture's lack of knowledge about the issue, whether deliberate or coincidental.
There are several core issues the public fails to recognise: number one is the problems over the border cannot be separated from other problems like the national debt, our sagging economy, health care, welfare reform and national security.
The first thing an open border is destroying is our ability to create and maintain renewable wealth. The fact that that border real estate values are declining is only the tip of the iceberg. Eleven million, or more realistically 50 million, aliens put a hidden strain on the workforce, the welfare system and health care.Do you know that there are more illegal aliens in Iredell County, North Carolina than there are citizens? This staggering statistic can be reproduced in countless ways.
When you couple the millions of people available for cheap labor with the current administrations assault on the coal ,oil, and natural resource industries of America you have a labor force reduced to service industry and government jobs that do nothing to create renewable wealth. A natural citizen's only options are unemployment benefits and welfare. Bloated government cannot be sustained by anything but a free market system that exploits resources, both renewable and non renewable. The illegal alien does nothing to contribute to this process.
The film also exposes the truth about the gang of eight's lack of knowledge in the breach in national security, and their willingness to cooperate with Obama's leftist one world agenda, and their blatant attempt to cover up the truth. Because of the homogenized political posturing coming from both sides, and the public's ignorance and lack of concern, few are aware of the enormity of the problem. It is as large as anything America faces today, and is not confined to border counties but is national in scope.
The reason we have Obama is McCain's lack of leadership and his ignorance of important issues especially economics.During the economic crisis in the fall of 2008 during the election, McCain showed himself to be lacking in economic savvy as well as cool headed leadership.Obama understands economics less than McCain, if that is possible, but far surpasses him in theatrics.
The problems we face on the Mexican border have nothing to do with immigration. The border is about smuggling, and smuggling is a deadly business. If the suitcase nuke that is smuggled across the Mexican border doesn't get you, the collapse of the American economy will. An $18 trillion dollar debt, Obamacare, resources that are handcuffed by over regulation and the EPA, and tens of millions of undocumented aliens are issues that cannot be separated in spite of the efforts of Obama and the sinful ignorance of McCain,Rubio,Graham and the other members of the gang of eight. Mr Lynche's film does an outstanding job of explaining all that. When you watch the movie you realize how cheap and worthless being an American has become.
